As part of the Government’s policy to promote and encourage clean energy production, CEB came up with the CEB MSDG Net-Metering Scheme for the integration of renewable energy systems in 2016.
This program was set up to meet the needs of renewable energy projects with new capacities ranging from 50 kW to 2 MW that need to be connected to the medium-voltage (22 kV) grid via a dedicated transformer.
As part of Renewable Energy 2030, CEB is calling on its customers to participate in the CEB MSDG RE Scheme, which aims to enable investors to implement medium-scale distributed generation (MSDG) solar photovoltaic (PV) projects.
This initiative complements the budget bill that established new renewable energy production programs to promote small and medium-sized power producers generating electricity from solar photovoltaic sources.
This will help us meet the national target of generating 60% of our electricity from clean sources by 2030.
