How do you want to use solar energy?
I sell what I produce
The old SSDG scheme was replaced by the CEB Solar Photovoltaic Scheme (Households) 2026, officially launched on 11 April 2026. This new scheme requires a hybrid solar + battery system and offers two billing modes.
In Gross-Metering, all production is exported to CEB at Rs 4.20/kWh. In Net-Metering, you offset your consumption with your production, and the surplus is credited at Rs 3.00/kWh.
I consume what I produce
Self-consumption means directly using the electricity produced by your panels during sunshine hours (9am–4pm). Each kWh produced replaces one kWh purchased from CEB. Optimal solution for businesses and homes with high daytime consumption.
- Immediate savings from day one
- No installed power limit
- Surplus fed into the grid (net-metering)
- Real-time monitoring via app
